Carphone Warehouse seeks exclusive iPhone deal in the UK


The Daily Telegraph reports that Charles Dunstone is keen to partner with Apple, to exclusively sell the iPhone in CPW stores this Christmas (assuming it is out by then).

What that means for network stores is another matter - Apple will have some tough decisions to make, with the likes of Vodafone also surely trying to tie up and exclusive deal.

The “McDonalds of mobile phones” (they must have almost as many stores?) has had a great Christmas, reporting a 32% increase in sales during October-December.

Mr Dunstone said: “We have had another very good Christmas period. Delivering profitable like-for-like growth after last year’s very strong performance is a great achievement.”
