Sony PS3 UK release date
Finally it’s been confirmed, as March 23, at a cost of £425. That’s the 60gb unit, with the cheaper 20gb model not appearing until later in the year.
It’s not surprising that the equivalent cost is higher than in the US (most things are more expensive in the UK/Europe), but the level of difference is staggering. Americans get to buy the same unit for $600 - or £305, making the UK version a massive £120 more expensive.
I am sure Sony will continue to block imports of the consoles, as they have been doing from Japan. Free trade? Not in this case.
About 30 games will be available upon release, including Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Genji: Days of the Blade andRidge Racer 7.
