Cingular’s record figures


US network Cingular has tripled its Q4 net income compared to the previous year, and added 2.4 million new subscribers - smashing the record set in 2005 by Verizon (+2m).

3 mobile announced today that it is cutting roaming charges in seven countries, including Italy, Ireland and Australia.  Customers will be charged the same rate whether they are in the UK or abroad, and do not need to sign-up for the service - everyone automatically gets it.
