O2 says i-mode is doing well

O2 UK has reported 450,000 users of its i-mode service, but seems a bit confused about its range of handsets.
In conflicting statements, O2 said that its current range of handsets is “not going to bring in millions of customers”, and then in the next breath said that it has a “solid range” of -mode handsets.
